Laurent Wauquiez

Laurent Wauquiez, born April 12, 1975 in Lyon, is a French politician. Normalien, history associate, then enarque, he entered the National Assembly in 2004 to replace Jacques Barrot, then was appointed in 2007 Secretary of State to the Prime Minister and spokesman for the government.
In 2016, he was elected President of the Regional Council of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and re-elected in 2021.
