Claude Sultan

Claude Sultan was born in 1934 in Morocco. He received his doctorate in Hebrew literature in Strasbourg in 1990, then his aggregation of modern Hebrew in Paris.  Claude Sultan holds various positions in the higher education of Judaism, including: rabbi and holder of the chair of Jewish thought at the Jewish seminary of France, professor of biblical exegesis and medieval Jewish thought at the School of Advanced Studies of Judaism, Director of the European Center for Hebrew Studies and Research of the Rachi University Institute of Troyes, Director of Research at the Institute of Knowledge of Book Religions.  In 2003, he received the Edmond Tenoudji Award in recognition of his community and educational work undertaken for several years
