Eric Slabiak
violoniste
Composer, violinist, author and singer, Eric Slabiak was born in Paris to a family of Polish Jewish immigrants, where music has been a way of life for several generations.
Eric started violin at the age of 5 and obtained a first prize at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels at 21.
Alongside his classical music studies, he plays the music of Eastern Europe, which he will make his favorite repertoire. At the age of 17, he performed in many restaurants and cabarets.
In 1992 with his brother, he created the group Les Yeux Noirs. Eight albums (including a nomination for the Victoires de la Musique in 1998) and 1400 concerts take them around the world, in forty countries, on the five continents, from Eritrea in Argentina, Israel in Cambodia, Kenya in Polynesia, through Romania and Canada. In 2019, he created the Josef Josef Group.
