Jean-Michel Valade, born in France, in Peyrat-le-Château (Haute-Vienne), on November 7, 1953, is a historian.
Doctor of geography (1983) then doctor of letters and humanities (1989), Jean-Michel Valade is the author of thirty books and sixty articles devoted, essentially, to the contemporary history of Corrèze. From 1991 to 2015, he was professor of history-geography, civic, legal and social education at the Georges-Cabanis high school in Brive-la-Gaillarde (Corrèze).
