Laurent Védrine

Laurent Védrine is director of the Musée d'Aquitaine.  After studying history and archaeology in Bordeaux, Laurent Vedrine carried out his military service as an archaeologist at the Historical Service of the Army in the mid-1990s. From 1996 to 2004, he directed the Margeride Ecomuseum and the Haute-Auvergne Museum. He was then responsible for heritage planning in the Basque Country and Béarn until 2008, when he won the heritage curator competition. It is precisely at the museum of Aquitaine, which he is preparing to take the direction, that Laurent Vedrine carries out his internship of specialty, as part of his training at the National Institute of Heritage (INP). For nine years, he has been at the head of the History Museum of the city of Marseille for which he undertook a vast renovation operation that led to its reopening in 2013.
Laurent Védrine, chief curator of heritage is the director of the Musée d'Aquitaine in Bordeaux, was previously the director of the Musée d'Histoire in Marseille.
