Shlomit Weksler-Bdolach

Shlomit Weksler-Bdolach was Professor of Archaeology at the University of Jerusalem. She is now a researcher, and has been conducting excavations in the northwest of the West Wall of Jerusalem since 2005. Schlomit Weksler-Bdolach will present his most recent findings: For the first time in the history of Jerusalem’s archaeology, the remains of 3 routes from 3 different eras have been unearthed. These routes that led to the West Gate of the Temple Wall highlight the important role of the Temple Mount, both under the Asmoneans and Herod and after the destruction of the Second Temple.
