Yaël Pachet, born January 24, 1968 in Orléans, is a French woman of letters.
His paternal grandfather, who died in 1965, was a Jew from Odessa who arrived in France just before the First World War.
Yaël Pachet is the daughter of the writer Pierre Pachet (1937-2016). She is the sister of scientist François Pachet (born 1964) and cousin of writer and journalist Colombe Schneck and photographer Antoine Schneck.
With the writer Pierre Michon, she has a daughter named Louise, born in 1998.
