Ygal Palmor

Ygal Palmor is a diplomat known, in particular, for bringing the voice of Israel to the French and Francophone public. Born in 1961 in Jerusalem, he studied linguistics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and then entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he began his career as a diplomat. From 1990 to 1994 he was spokesman for the Israeli Embassy in Madrid, and was part of the Israeli delegation to the Madrid Conference in 1991. Between 1994 and 1997, he was deputy spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was then appointed Information Counsellor at the Embassy of Israel in Paris: he coordinated the festivities of the Fiftieth Anniversary of Israel in France.After having been Deputy Director of the Department of European Institutions, he became Director of the Department of Maghreb-Lebanon-Syria to the Israeli Foreign Ministry. Yigal Palmor is the Head of the International Relations Unit and Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of the Jewish Agency for Israel, where he previously served for four years as Director of Public Affairs and Communications.
