Yossef Attoun
enseignant à la Mi'hlala Yerouchalaïm
In 1983 he created the French section of Machon Meïr, which he directed until 2007, and which soon became a renowned framework for Jewish studies and integration in Israel, for hundreds of young Francophones. At the same time, he is developing several programs of Jewish studies and integration for young girls within the Machon Ora and Midrechet Harova, surrounded by a dynamic team. He develops these training courses as part of the Mikhlala Yerouchalaïm in Bayit Vagan and also in its Eilat stream, for yechivot students, often already teachers, and wishing to complete a cycle of pedagogical studies. In all these settings, he teaches courses on the didactics of written and oral Torah, and on the teaching methods of Jewish thought. In addition to regular Torah classes in Ashdod and Jerusalem, he also continued his teaching as part of the Midrechet Yeoud, aimed at young Francophone girls, and directed by Mrs Sylvia Marouani. Father of six and grandfather of many grandchildren, Yosef Attoun lives in Jerusalem, and is the author of “Birth of Israel, The Spring of the World”.
